Why we chose it: Identifying the opportunity to redevelop a brownfield site in Clayton into a residential and commercial use development, Brix undertook the development management associated with rezoning and master planning the site.
Our process: Brix engaged with key stakeholders at local and state government levels, working alongside the consultant team and Abacus Property Group. A submission gained indicative support for an amendment to rezone the site, allowing it to be redeveloped for residential and commercial use.
The outcome: In 2016, Abacus received an unsolicited offer to purchase the site from a third party who recognised its future potential as a residential community.
